Pre-MLS NEXT (U9–U19)

Overview

NVU Pre-MLS NEXT teams compete in the South Atlantic Conference.

This platform has served NVU exceptionally well, providing consistent competition and meaningful college recruiting exposure. Through participation in competitive leagues, NVU has produced numerous recent college commitments, reflecting the strength of both the league and the NVU development environment.

The Pre-MLS NEXT competitive platform prepares players for future MLS NEXT opportunities, a college recruitment pathway, and long-term development within one club.

League Structure

NVU Pre-MLS NEXT teams compete in Premier I and Premier II divisions of the South Atlantic Conference with qualifying teams earning advancement to US Youth Soccer Regional Championships and the US Youth Soccer National League Playoffs.

The Pre-MLS NEXT training environment includes:

3 structured weekly training sessions
Licensed, experienced coaching staff
Age-appropriate curriculum aligned with the NVU Player Development Model
Competitive, focused training with opportunities for advancement

ID Sessions & Tryouts

NVU operates a unified tryout process for all travel teams. Every registered player is evaluated during tryouts, with placement offers extended based on performance and readiness.
